You know something needs to change
Maybe you've tried to cut back, stop, or regain control, only to find yourself back in the same patterns. You may be dealing with cravings, triggers, consequences in your relationships or work, or simply feeling like substances are taking up more space in your life than you want them to.
It's okay to ask for help with addiction.
I’m here for you.
Addiction can be difficult to navigate on your own. Therapy gives you a place to understand what's happening, identify the patterns that keep you using, and develop more effective ways to respond to cravings, triggers, and difficult situations. You don't have to have everything figured out before you reach out.
How I can help
Addiction therapy focused on understanding patterns and changing what keeps you stuck.
Understand what keeps the cycle going.
Addiction can affect the way you handle stress and emotions, think about yourself, and relate to the people around you. In therapy, we'll look at the patterns surrounding your substance use and what tends to happen before, during, and after you use. We'll work to identify triggers, understand cravings, and recognize the thoughts and behaviors that can keep the cycle going. Understanding these patterns can give you more choices when you're faced with situations that have been difficult to navigate on your own.
Learn how to respond differently.
Changing a pattern takes more than wanting to change it. We'll work on practical ways to manage cravings, respond to triggers, cope with stress, and handle difficult situations without falling back into familiar patterns. We'll also look at the habits, routines, relationships, and other parts of your life that can support recovery. The goal is to help you develop skills you can rely on outside of therapy and make changes that are realistic enough to maintain over time.
Here’s what we’ll do together
Understand the patterns. Build the skills. Make different choices.
Addiction rarely exists in isolation. It can affect your relationships, work, health, routines, and the way you see yourself. In therapy, we'll take a closer look at what's happening in your life and how your substance use fits into those patterns. We'll identify the situations, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that tend to lead you back to familiar habits, and we'll work together to understand what keeps those patterns going.
From there, we'll focus on what you can do differently. That may mean learning how to recognize and respond to triggers, managing cravings, developing healthier ways to handle stress, or making changes to routines and relationships that aren't supporting you. We'll work at a pace that makes sense for you and focus on skills that are useful outside the therapy room, not just insights that stay in the therapy room.

We'll consider what you're dealing with, what you want to change, and how you're progressing as we determine the right frequency and length of treatment. Some people benefit from more frequent sessions early on, while others may transition to less frequent appointments as they build confidence and stability.
