My Approach

You’ve set the foundation. Now it’s time to build.

Coming out of residential treatment is a big step, and you don’t have to navigate it alone. The transition back into everyday life can bring new challenges, from maintaining the progress you’ve made to adjusting to responsibilities, relationships, and routines that may feel different now. It’s completely normal to feel a mix of emotions—hope, uncertainty, even fear—but with the right support, you can continue building a strong foundation for lasting change. Therapy can help you develop healthy coping strategies, reinforce the skills you’ve learned, and provide a safe space to process any lingering challenges.

I’m here to walk alongside you as you create a life that aligns with your recovery and personal growth. Whether you need guidance in managing stress, strengthening your sense of independence, or preventing relapse, our work together will focus on empowering you to move forward with confidence. My goal is to provide a nonjudgmental, supportive space where you can explore your thoughts and emotions, build resilience, and take meaningful steps toward a future that feels fulfilling and sustainable. You’ve already done the hard work of treatment—now, let’s build on that progress together.

At the end of the day, I want you to know:

You don’t have to navigate this transition alone. I’m here to help you apply the skills you’ve learned, build confidence in your independence, and create a balanced, fulfilling life. Together, we’ll work through challenges and ensure you stay on track with your recovery.

Frequently asked questions —

  • Our sessions will focus on building on the foundation you’ve already laid in your healing journey.

We’ll work on developing a personalized set of coping strategies to navigate real-life challenges while addressing the underlying causes that lead to disregulation. This process will help you build resilience, regain control, and create a solid foundation for lasting recovery.

  • Most people find meeting weekly is the best place to start. However, personal goals, time-commitment issues and finances might make biweekly sessions more manageable for some.

In terms of duration to remain in therapy, I have found that I work with most of my clients long-term (longer than six months). But it is not unusual to come into therapy with a specific issue, find that the issue is resolved in a month or two of counseling, and decide to move to “as-needed” sessions.

  • I charge $200 per 55-minute session and $350 per 85-minute session.
