Therapy for Depression

Online counseling for adults in CA and AZ

Life has turned into a shadow and you feel hopeless.

A heaviness has crept into every part of your life. The things you used to enjoy have begun to feel stale and distant…and sometimes it feels like you’re moving through your life in a fog, barely able to stay engaged or connected to what’s happening around you.

You just want the pain to end and might’ve even thought that it would be better if you weren’t around anymore.

Relationships have become difficult and you are detaching and isolating yourself from the world. Your mind appears to automatically be fixed on the ‘should’s’ and the frustrations from you past. Friends and family have commented that you seem different.

You don’t want to feel this way anymore. You can’t feel this way anymore. You’re ready to get back to the person you used to be.

You’re numb, lonely and frustrated.

You’re tired.

Frequently asked questions

  • Our sessions will focus on determining what thoughts, behaviors or social factors are driving addiction in your life. We will work on developing a list of coping skills to apply to real-life situations, while resolving the anxiety and depression that has been driving the craving for drugs and alcohol in your life.

  • I charge $200 per 55-minute session and $350 per 85-minute session.

  • I do not accept insurance at this time.

By using the private-pay model, I am able to give my clients superior focus and planning without the distraction and hassle of fighting insurance carriers.

I can offer you a ‘superbill’ that can be used for possible reimbursement from your insurance carrier for a portion of the cost of out-of-network therapy. However, I always recommend checking with your insurance provider on your benefits.

  • Most people find meeting weekly is the best place to start. However, personal goals, time-commitment issues and finances might make biweekly sessions more manageable for some.

In terms of duration to remain in therapy, I have found that I work with most of my clients long-term (longer than six months). But it is not unusual to come into therapy with a specific issue, find that the issue is resolved in a month or two of counseling, and decide to move to “as-needed” sessions.

  • Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services. You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
